
C1.1 Important Information – Teens
Evaluation Dates
- Parents’ Meeting: Lesson 2 on 5 February at the beginning of class.
- Use of English Evaluation: (20% of course score)
Checkpoints will be assigned and completed in MyELT during class as a timed evaluation at the end of each unit. (20%) - Writing Evaluation: Students read two books in MyOn and submit book reports on designated dates. Parents will be informed of late work. (20%)
- Book Report One: Lesson 5 on 19 February
- Book Report Two: Lesson 9 on 26 March
- Speaking/Project Evaluation: (20% of course score)
Lesson 10 on 16 April - Reading Evaluation: (20% of course score)
Lesson 9 on 26 March - Listening Evaluation: (20% of course score)
Lesson 9 on 26 March - Grades/Review:
Lesson 10 on 16 April
If a date change is made, it will be announced in class and posted in the General channel in MS Teams.
Holiday Closures
Please note there will be no class on Friday, 2 April and Friday, 9 April in observance of Semana Santa.
Passing/Failing
To pass a class at The Anglo, you must:
- Attend 80% of scheduled lesson time, that’s 24 of 30 hours, including absences, tardies, and leaving early.
- Complete all homework and platform assignments.
- Work together with your team to plan, develop, and deliver your project presentation.
- Complete all 5 evaluations with an average grade of 7.
- You must pass Writing and Speaking with a score of 7 or higher. The speaking score is based on class participation and project presentation, combined.
- You must also pass 2 of the remaining 3 exams: Listening, Reading, and Use of English.
Student Responsibilities
- Read and understand about etiquette for online courses.
- You must purchase the textbook and gain access to MyELT
- You must purchase a license for MyOn, if you do not already have one.
- You must submit both Book Reports on time, on the dates noted above.
- You must submit the Practical Use of English, Listening, Reading and Speaking/Project Evaluations on the dates noted above.
